Of particular interest to K-12 educators will be our course “Deconstructing Adolescent Intimidation: No More Bullying!”  This course will show how educators can empower our students to help them reshape the landscape of peer dynamics in their schools.  It will provide you with architecture and resources needed to minimize or prevent bullying in your school.  The course is designed to not only inform teachers and administrators on the world wide epidemic and tremendous negative effects of school peer-to-peer bullying, but also to explore its root causes and heightens recognition of different types of intimidation.  The course will help schools model a method of eliminating conditions that foster bullying, thereby minimizing the instances of such.  Teachers, staff and administrators will learn how to encourage students to empower themselves.  In the course you will interact with the instructor by participating in online discussion forums and chats, posting your opinion as it relates to questions asked by the instructor, sharing your personal and professional experiences with the subject, and more.  You will hear testimonials of preventable situations that have escalated to serious bodily harm and/or litigation.  By the end of the course, you will have the tools necessary for developing a peer group system that will help minimize bullying in your school.
